Starbucks Cup Project

Starbucks Cup Project: Date: 1/9/18

My design relates to the corporal identity of Starbucks because I included and emphasized on the Starbucks logo.

My cup portrays the the Christmas feel because I used the colors related to Christmas, red, green and white. The symbols I used for the cup are candy canes, wreathes and mistletoe, which also portrays Christmas.

I think Starbucks will likely consider using my cup, since it gives a holiday feel, which follows the tradition of Starbucks.

What makes my cup unique and different is the fill of the symbols. Using sketch, I was able to give it a doodle-like type of feel. The way I arranged all my candy canes is also unique, since it used asymmetrical balance and feels like there was no order.

The process of making my cup was first, plan out what I needed. I needed to make candy canes, wreathes, and mistletoe. Drawing it out was pretty simple. Next, I arranged it randomly, one by one trying to make it all come together slowly. In order to give a doodle-like feel, I changed the fill into sketch. I also had to enlarge the Starbucks logo because I felt it was hidden by all the candy canes. Then, I printed it out and put it onto a cup. I then took pictures of the cup, getting the front, side, and back of the cup. Finally, I photo shopped the cup to make it look more crisp and full of color.
